MDT Space Explorer
MDT Space Explorer is a free 3D space game in your browser, made by Maximus Dev Tech. You crew your own space station: it takes off from its launch pad on Earth, and from orbit you fly it across the solar system and out to a nebula where stars are being born.
About MDT Space Explorer
Walk round the station as your own Maximus World character: the Bridge with its huge front window, a glass Observation Dome, the Science Lab, the Crew Quarters, the Hangar and airlock, and the Engine Room. Look out of the windows on the way, then stop the station, switch the gravity off and float.
How to play
- Go to the Bridge and launch from the navigation table. The ground drops away, you climb through the clouds and the sky turns black.
- Pick a mission at the Mission board. A glowing marker shows where to go next.
- Scan planets with the telescope in the Observation Dome, test samples with the Lab's spectrometer, launch probes and cut up asteroids with the mining laser in the Hangar.
- For a spacewalk, put a suit on from the Hangar lockers and go out through the airlock. Fly the jetpack to the broken parts and hold to repair them before your oxygen runs low.
- Missions pay MXC and science. Spend science in the Engine Room on bigger engines to reach further planets, and on a faster cruise, a better jetpack, laser and telescope.
- Signed in, start a crew and invite your friends. The captain flies the station and picks the missions; everyone can do the jobs and everyone earns the reward.

- Seven places to fly to: Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, the Asteroid Belt, Jupiter, Saturn and its rings, and the Orion Nebula
- A warp tunnel between places, and big windows and a glass dome to watch it all from
- Zero gravity: stop the station, switch the gravity ring off and float round with everything else that is loose
- Spacewalks with a jetpack and a tether, mining with a laser, probes, a telescope and a spectrometer
- Nine missions with real, checked facts about the planets, from Olympus Mons to the Great Red Spot
- Upgrades: four engines, a faster cruise, a better jetpack, mining laser and telescope
- Crew up with friends live, or fly solo
