From yes to live
What happens after you say yes, step by step.
- Nothing to pay up front. Your site goes live free for a month, and you only pay if you keep it.
- Your first version is ready within a week of me getting your words and photos, with two rounds of changes included.
- How long it all takes depends mostly on how quickly those arrive.
- Day 1
You say yes
I email you a short confirmation: what's in your website, any add-ons, and the price. Reply to say yes, and we're started. There's nothing to pay yet.
- The first few days
Your domain
Your web address (for example yourbusiness.co.uk). If you already have one, I'll use it. If not, you buy it in your own name, so it's always yours, and I'll help you choose it and set it up.
- As soon as you can
Your words and photos
Send me what you have. Here's what I need:
- your photos, and your logo if you have one
- your opening times, prices or menu, and contact details
- a few lines about your business (or just the facts: I can write the words for you)
Your phone is fine for photos. If something's missing, I'll start with what you've sent and tell you what's left.
- Within a week of having everything
Your first version
I send you a link to look at it on your phone and computer. If it's ever going to take longer, I'll tell you straight away. Something being built for the first time, like a new booking system, can take longer, and I'll say how long before you agree.
- Your changes
Two rounds of changes
Send me one list of everything you'd like changed, and I'll make it all together. That's one round, and two are included. More rounds, or something new, I'll price first.
- When you're happy
It goes live
I put your site live on your domain and show you your editor, where you can change your words, photos, opening times and news yourself, even from your phone.
- One month
Your free month
The site is live and looked after, free, for a month from the day it goes live. Use it, show your customers, see if it brings you more business.
- End of the free month
Keep it, or walk away
I send you an invoice for the build and your first month of hosting and care, to pay by bank transfer within 7 days. If you'd rather not keep it, just tell me or don't pay: I take it down, you owe nothing, and you get a copy of your words and photos.
- Every month after
Hosting and care
A monthly fee keeps your site online, safe and up to date, with help when you need it. Pay by bank transfer or standing order, and cancel any time with a month's notice.
