Hold and use. Pick anything on your tool bar to hold it - a weapon, the flask, food, a bandage or a spike trap - and Strike uses it: hold the flask at water to fill it, anywhere else to drink. Stand idle for a minute and you're removed.
Last one alive wins. Online needs at least two humans; or play against nine bots. You can fight other humans - but a kill makes you bloodthirsty: kill again within 2:30 or go mad and die.
Stay fed and watered. Hunger and thirst fall constantly. Eat berries, figs, eggs and cooked meat; drink at any shore (hold Use).
Make tools. Gather sticks, stone, flint and fibre grass. Craft a hand axe first, then swing it at trees to chop wood for campfires and clubs. Spears, torches, bandages and a hide cloak help too.
Predators. Sabre-tooth cats stalk the woodland, giant hyenas roam the plains in packs, and crocodiles wait in the shallows. Fire and torches keep them back; a spear hurts.
Disasters. Earthquakes shake rocks loose, wildfires sweep the grass, the volcano throws lava bombs and storms bring lightning. Watch the warnings.
Weapons and traps. Supply caches hide spears, clubs, knives and slings. Craft a flint knife, a sling (stones are its ammo) or spike traps. Beware quicksand: wade out slowly and tap Jump to heave yourself up.
Climb and jump. Run at a rock, wall or pillar and keep pushing to climb it; low ones you vault straight over, and a jump into a ledge grabs it. Jump on a wall to leap higher, jump away from it to kick off. Sprint-jump for distance, and land running to roll out of a long drop. Climbing costs stamina, and most predators can't reach you up high.
The ash cloud. Late in the match the volcano's ash closes in. Stay inside the clear circle on your map.
